Did you REALLY need the wrench?

So I thought I’d go a little old school here today. A post strictly about a couple a bike rides I had here on the Oregon Coast this week. Both were memorable for good and bad reasons!

First off, as always, the important stuff.

Michelle and I are healthy, happy and still employed. I keep telling her that I am very lucky to be going through a global pandemic with a wife like her!

Pray for her though, she is trapped with me….

Tour de Blast 2018

OK before I recap the ride I need to address a couple of things! If you are a rider reading this before the 2019 or beyond ride remember 2 things!

1) Do NOT believe the weather forecast!!! Make sure to have rain gear in the car with you just in case!!

2) This route EATS tires! Have plenty of extra tubes, patch kits, pump and CO2 with you! Also your toughest tires!!

OK maybe I was showing off some…

Last night I cranked out almost 50 miles after work. This isn’t abnormal for me though. It wasn’t raining, and it was the last day I could sneak out of work early for about 3 months. The combination of the two could not be wasted.

Originally I had hoped to rest today, and ride tomorrow. Today, I was going to drop Michelle off for a long walk, and have one of my Starbuck mornings. However two things changed. 1) Our friend Sue decided to walk with her so she was good without me, and 2) the weather dude said there would be rain tomorrow.
